Youth Services programme

Chair of Seaford Rotary Club's Youth Services committee Jim Anderson has confirmed the Club will again be organising various competitions for our young people over the next few months.
The first of these is for Young Artists with four age groups covering under7’s, 7 – 10, 11 – 13, and 14-18 as at 1 September 2016. Each group is asked to enter a painting or drawing titled “My favourite thing” for the two younger age groups and “My favourite local view” for the two older sections.
The closing date for entries is 3 December 2016 and full details are on the Club website www.seafordrotary.org.uk or can be obtained from Rotarian Tony Lees on 894352 or Rotarian Jim Anderson on 492846.
All the other competitions will take place after Christmas.
Following its successful launch last year, it is intended to run a Young Writers Competition again in conjunction with the local Primary Schools.
It is also planned to repeat the Club’s two longer running competitions. The Young Photographers will again be organised with the help of Fotobox and the subject this time will be “Reflection”.
The ever popular Young Musicians will follow a similar format to the 2016 competition with sections for Instrumentalists, Vocalists, and Ensembles. Details of both the Young Photographers and Young Musicians competitions will be publicised in the local media, through local schools, and on the Club website when they are available.
