Vintage Tea PartyOVER 100 guests enjoyed a quintessential English Vintage Charity Tea Party held at Bates Green Farm Arlington on 3rd July hosted by Past President Mike Logan. The sun shone, the Seaford Silver Band entertained the guests with their selection of popular music ending with a rousing Sussex by the Sea.
The atmosphere was very relaxing and happy.
The guests were served with a delicious tea commencing with Prosecco served by our friendly wine waiters Mr Tony Osborne and John Wilson. This was followed by assorted sandwiches, scones jam and cream and delicious homemade cakes served by one of four waitresses.
The venue was decorated with bunting and attractively laid tables added to the occasion. It was lovely to see so many guests dress for the occasion and enter into the spirit wearing vintage outfits and stylish hats.
Thanks to the generosity of those that attended three charities, MacMillan Support, Marys Meals and Newhaven and Seaford Sea Cadets will each benefit from a donation of over £750. Well done and thanks to everyone who gave of their time to help, clean, loan china, transport furniture and bake etc. and those who so generously supported this fundraising event.
